The Renod’s unique glass design lends both privacy and natural light to the sauna experience. The two full-length, multi-level benches offer plenty of room for you and three friends to enjoy the heat, or you can stretch out on your own. The Harvia 6kW electric heater can either delay the start time up to eight hours, or can turn on right away. The space will get up to temperatures of 180ºF after an hour of heating. Customizations

Lumber type: Choose between two different types of solid lumber. Rustic FIR is light in color, with small knots creating a unique pattern on each piece. Rustic Red Cedar has a slightly red hue amongst the knots and boasts a pleasant cedar aroma. All lumber options are 1 ⅜” thick to insulate the sauna room.

Door style: Outfit your sauna with one of the following three door options: glass, wood with a window, all-wood.

Heater: You can upgrade the Renod from the standard 6kw heater to an 8kw. Also available for this unit is a Virta deluxe heater—the choice is yours!

Ship-times can vary from season to season, and from model to model. Give us a call at 888-287-0111 or email sales@salussaunas.com to determine when your sauna is estimated to ship so you can begin planning for its delivery!

Our saunas ship either via LTL (less-than-truckload) carriers or dedicated flatbed rigs. In both cases, you will receive a notification when your sauna ships, as well as a call from the carrier to make arrangements for its delivery.

Please note that we will do our best to accommodate the delivery of your sauna around your busy schedule. However, we thank you in advance for being flexible with our driver’s rigid and pre-scheduled delivery timelines.

Care & Maintenance

Traditional saunas require very little upkeep. Simply wipe down the interior after each use and check for any dust or debris that you may have tracked in. Read more about long-term care and maintenance here.

Sauna Type

Heater and stones are essential to a traditional sauna experience. With the room at least heated to 160ºF, the traditional sauna can be enjoyed two ways. The first is called a dry sauna, which lacks any added moisture. The second is called a wet sauna, where you sprinkle water onto the heated stones to create a refreshing burst of steam and added humidity. Traditional indoor saunas use your existing floor, and the Rainelle is no exception. Read about suitable floor options here.

Assembly

Some basic handyman skills are helpful when assembling the sauna. The only additional equipment needed is a cordless drill. Two people can generally do the assembly in 6 hours or less. It is recommended that you review the assembly manual in advance to familiarize yourself with the process.

Electrical Requirements
  • All heaters should be installed by a licensed electrician
  • All heaters require a 220/240 volt hardwired connection
  • 6kw heaters require a 30 amp connection
  • 8kw heaters require a 40 amp connection

We purchased a traditional sauna from Salus. It arrived in a timely manner and the red cedar is wonderful! We placed our sauna on an area that is partial ceramic tile and partial carpeting, however, we secured heavy rubber that is used for ponds in the bottom of the sauna to protect the carpeting from any moisture. Make certain that you purchase the wood floor for the sauna when you purchase the sauna. It does not come with a floor, which we did not understand. Salus was kind enough to allow us to purchase the floor for the $50 vs having to pay $249 for it after purchasing the sauna. We are currently waiting to hear from the manufacturer because the frosted glass is not right on the stationary wall portion, with uneven horizontal and vertical streaking which are barely frosted and the frosted glass is on the inside vs the door frosted glass being on the outside. The frosted glass on the door is perfect! We were reassured that this will be rectified under the warranty.All in all, the sauna is beautiful, the cedar smells wonderful and assembly was straight forward! We would highly recommend Salus saunas! Many thanks to Amber for her professionalism and assistance.|
